French Pouillenay Limestone Local Crosland Hill Yorkstone in both Pitch Face and Ashlar finish

J W Smith is a top national award winner for the build of this new Lincoln Museum development. The project was built using Ancaster Limestone on the external cladding and French Pouillenay Limestone for the internal package. This picture shows part of the entrance leading to the galleries.

The shopping bill for this development wasn’t cheap!
One of the country’s top supermarkets together with a local building contractor instructed J W Smith to traditionally clad this building at a cost of £2.5 million. Using local Crosland Hill Yorkstone in both Pitch Face and Ashlar finish, the columns alone totalled almost one mile in length!

Tunisian Marianna Cream Limestone Red St Bee’s and Rockingham Sandstones

This prestigious office building in Leeds was the first of three blocks that we have completed over the past 3-4 years on this development. A dense and strong limestone was required and the Tunisian Marianna Cream Limestone fitted the bill perfectly.

This prominent building in Leeds city centre is very familiar to the locals. Although this project was completed some years ago it nevertheless still shows massive character and variation in colour, having used Red St Bee’s and Rockingham Sandstones. The integrated Flamed and Polished Balmoral Red granite compliments the sandstones.

A Yorkshire stone for a Yorkshire man Verde Tropical Granite

What better than a Yorkshire businessman building his own home using locally quarried Crosland Hill Yorkstone? Fixed by J W Smith (Masonry) Limited What a glorious sight!

J W Smith may be an old established company but this picture shows a modern edge in supplying state-of-the-art vanity tops in an office block development in Leeds.

Cadeby Limestone White Onyx Fascia to bar

You can rest assured in this Travelodge; J W Smith did! Using Cadeby Limestone for the walls and tower, the brief was to stay in keeping with the existing Medieval Bar Walls. The range of angles from 45º to 360º was a challenge but as you can see, we were up to the task...

The white onyx fascia fitted by J W Smith and shown in this picture has a very important task – it will be required to prop up many unstable characters that will visit this York bar over the coming years!
