Good news everyone we are open every day over Easter and the May Day Bankholidays. What better time to come and look at our huge range of granite available in our yard.
Due to a spring clean recently we have a number of small slabs and part slabs on display that are completely unique and would suit small kitchens, one off islands or pantry/utilities.
Come and see the quality of our work for yourself in our new showroom which has kitchen displays as well as fireplaces, mirrors, house signs and tables all laid out ready to give you ideas for your house.
Or use the extra time off work to come and see our newest enterprise, Recycled glass worktops, splashbacks and tiles. All our glass is made from glass bottles destined for landfill and is made on the premises. We have a number of splashbacks on display which look great on their own, or absolutely amazing backlit with an LED sheet, but don’t take our word for it – come and check it out for yourself.
We are open 9am – 5pm Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday and 11am – 4pm Easter Sunday. We are also open 9am – 5pm May Day bankholiday and i look forward to showing you around.

Did you know that granite comes in nearly every colour of the rainbow? Take one of the kitchens we are doing at the moment for example, the clients have chosen the beautiful Verde Tropical granite. A green granite with swirling veins running through it, which is completely unique.

Selby Game Fair 2010
Over the Easter weekend, J W Smith’s Directors and trusty Project Manager relocated themselves and various pieces of granite, from the nice warm, dry showroom in Wheldrake, York, to a cold, wet and muddy field in the grounds of Carlton Tower for the Selby Game Fair 2010.
Despite the cold and wet weather, people flocked to the show in their thousands and nearly all were intrigued and fascinated by our wide selection of granite and marble on display.
The Directors had a great time, talking to potential customers, trying out their sales techniques and testing their granite knowledge.
As well as showing off the different types of granite, quartz and recycled glass available for kitchen and bathroom worktops, our stall had a huge range of house signs, pet memorials and granite table tops to entice sales.

Many many leaflets were handed out, contact details taken and granites discussed over the 4 days, and a few customers have already made it over to our showroom in Wheldrake to continue their discussion.
